Animation Celebration 2 packed a theatre with an amazing creative energy from start to finish.
The evening opened with fans lining up in cosplay, artists setting up colorful tables, and the lobby buzzing with excitement.
Once doors opened, guests browsed the fan-art market filled with prints, stickers, charms, apparel created by talented local vendors.
Before the screenings, local animators shared their films on the big screen. The crowd cheered, laughed, and supported each creator, giving the showcase a warm, community-driven atmosphere.

Cosplayers stopped by the photo area for free professional shots with ROTIDE MEDIA.
Costumes ranged from anime heroes to stylized fantasy characters, and seeing fans pose and celebrate their looks added a fun spark throughout the night.

Industry veteran Peter Hudecki joined in partnership with Yowza Animations, offering helpful portfolio reviews and chatting with guests about animation craft, career paths, and classic shows. His presence brought great encouragement to students and aspiring artists in the crowd.

Thank you to everyone who attended, tabled, screened work, and helped bring this celebration to life. The support for local animation and fan culture in Kitchener-Waterloo continues to grow, and this event was a strong reminder of how passionate and welcoming this community is. We are already excited for the next one likely to happen within 2026!
